Fatal Attraction?

He never sleeps
Lying in a bed he made
Ses yeux, trop bleu
Pure light and shade

I hear his voice sing
Inviting me in.
Daring me to touch his skin
Threatening to carry me away
With complicated interplay.

He scares me so.
When will he go?
Maybe he’ll suffocate me?
Crush me or break me?
Where will he take me?

“Just one dance.
Come. Take a chance.”

Curiosity wins
I take a step in
He caresses my feet
And nibbles my knees
He’s such a tease.

He sees me blush
With one little push
I’m overwhelmed by the rush
He takes me in his arms
And whirls me around
My ears full of him
And of his sound.

Is he my fate?
Am I too late?

I’m out of my depth
And can’t catch my breath.
Each hour I grow weaker
Survival seems bleaker.

I catch onto a rock
Imagine his shock
His pull is so strong
But I can hang on.

I Live to tell
J’ai échappé belle

Wet and breathless
I drive away
And live to dream
Another day.

The Voyeur

The sun kisses the lake
And she shivers
Absorbing his energy

Like new lovers
They dance together
To the lovelilt of birdsong

Her jewels sparkle
Their offspring bare witness
But make no comment.

Clouds float past
To pour over other trysts
Reflecting on the scene.

A bell rings
A spell breaks
And I must go.
