first Adam

first Eve
Don’t
question, just imagine
Close your
eyes, make believe.
No words to
divide us
No time set
to leave
Hear the rush
of our hearts
Stir the air
as we breathe.
No shame for
our feelings
No guilt as we
cleave
A union in
heaven
No judges to
displease.
I float on
your water
Whisper
poetry of thieves
The power of
the rhythm
I’m lost on
your seas.
What man has
ordained
Is clear
cause to grieve
God can’t be
denied
Close your
eyes, make believe.
