I want to be your cat
To wrap myself around your legs
To see you eye to eye
To purr as you caress me in your lap.

To test my claws on your skin
To breathe you in, in and more in
To smell you, to taste you, to feel you
All of you with all of me.

But if I am a cat
I need more than this
I need to eat and sleep
and poo and piss.

I need to be with other cats
To spit
and fight
and arch my back.

Can you accept me?
This is me.
